Amazing Bird Images. Golden Finches, Chickadees and Brown Squirrels

These creative Bird Images were taken by Adam Rasmussen, Winnipeg, Manitoba

These bird images of finches and chickadees were taken in my daughter Stacie and son-in-law Adam's backyard in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Backing onto a greenspace, their backyard emerges as a bird's paradise filled with bird feeders, bird houses, a squirrel nesting box, squirrel feeding perch and water sources.

Adam is from Bendigo, Australia and in Australia squirrels do not exist. Lots of possums that dwell in the night, but no squirrels. Therefore, Adam really enjoys watching the squirrels and created a squirrel nesting box, an eating perch and gives them plenty of food and a water source. Adam then watches as the babies come out to view the big world.

There can be as many as three sets of squirrel babies per season that emerge from the Nesting Box. Just remember to clean out the box after each season or maggots will appear.

Interesting that the baby brown squirrels become human friendly as they grow and don't mind sharing the backyard.
