Campanula White Clips or Blue Clips...a perfect edging perennial for any flowerbed garden design
White and Blue Clips image from my garden July 19, 2009...just awesome...About the Campanula White ClipsCampanula White Clips or Blue Clips...a perfect edging perennial for all flowerbed gardens. I grow both the White Clips along side with the Blue Clips in my Middle Garden as an edging plant. How To Grow the Campanula White ClipsThey arrive very quickly in the spring and can tolerate some nasty cool temperatures as the ground tries to heat up. This compact perennial really produces an abundance of white and blue cup-bell shaped blooms that last about a day or two. Not to worry though, there are usually dozens of buds ready to open once the plant gets going. Just remember to deadhead (I use my garden scissors) so the blooms keep coming. Albeit it does not give the same kind of second flower flush as the first blooming time. If it stops blooming altogether, cut the plant down by 1/4 and it will grow back to produce additional blooms. Below is an image of the Blue Clips. Companion plants: Felicia Daisy or the Sedum Dragons Blood. This perennial edger would also look great if planted in front of the JP Connel Rose. Check out my Site Index Page for a listing of additional annuals and perennials to plant in your flower garden design.
