Coral Bells Georgia Peach, planted for incredible peach colored foliage...
About The Coral Bells Georgia PeachCoral Bells Georgia Peach, a great shade or part shade perennial planted for its huge peach colored foliage. Did you know that this perennial is an evergreen plant? Actually all of the Coral Bells are evergreens...meaning that they do not totally die back in the winter. In my flowerbeds I find it interesting that the Coral Bells are one of the first perennials to pop up from their clumps in the spring. How To Grow the Coral Bells Georgia PeachThe Coral Bells Georgia Peach grew very quickly in its first year and the flowers, which sprout up from the base of the plant, are a creamy white color. Remove the spent flowers as they fade. I am not sure if removing them will actually encourage more flowers, but not to worry this perennial seems to bloom all summer long. Although many gardeners plant the Coral Bells in their shade gardens, this perennial can also withstand a part shade garden location. This perennial has huge peach colored foliage with a showy white overlay that turns a rose to rose purple as the weather cools in the fall. The image above is from my shade garden taken September 17, 2009. Companion plants for shade: Hostas, Ligularia Othello, Astilbes , Sedum Dragon Blood, Brunnera or Bleeding Hearts. Companion plants for part shade: Campanula White or Purple Clips, Bellflower or Ajuga. Please visit my Site Index Page to view additional annuals and perennials to your next flowerbed garden design.
