About The The Euphorbia Wood SpurgeThe Euphorbia or Wood Spurge perennial is grown for its striking purple foliage and is an evergreen perennial. Here's one for the books. This evergreen perennial is Zoned for 6 yet I can grow it in my Zone 3. Albeit, I must give it winter protection... but it grows! I make sure that I give the evergreen perennials good coverage with shredded leaves and as usual once the snow arrives, the plant will be totally covered. How To Grow the EuphorbiaIn the spring it is amazing that the leaves pop through the winter proctection still green. Since this perennial is a slow grower, I have grouped three plants together. I was looking for another compact shrub-like evergreen perennial as a border plant and chose the beautiful purple/green foliage of the Wood Spruge. Mine grows as a border plant in front of and mixed in with my Durango Marigolds as well as in my new back garden along with:
