Flowerbed Pictures of Perennial and Annual Landscaping Borders...(Update: 2012 - Please note that most of the images on this page were taken in 2009, however seeing the flowerbeds of yester year still gives one ideas of what blooms to plant. Interesting that many of the perennials have survived to 2012, yet I seem to change the annuals from year to year.
(Update: 2012) A little worse for wear. We had so much rain in June.
The image below is the start of the shade flowerbed in 2009. Perennials planted: Hosta Sum and Substance, Ligularia Othello, Sedum Dragons Blood, Coral Bells Georgia Peach, Astilbe and Ladys Mantle.Annuals planted: Oxalis.
This image was taken September 1, 2009The above flowerbed receives morning sun and then shade for the afternoon. Unfortunately it's the tall and old oak trees in my neighbors yard that provides all the shade for this flower garden. I am hoping to get permission and give a trim. The garden picture below is a perennial and annual flower display of Ajuga, Gaillardia, Siberian Larch, Calendula, Purple and White Coneflowers and Dusty Miller. Also taken September 1, 2009.
