How To Grow The Nolana Cannington JohnThis is the first year (2009) that I have planted this annual and it was a tough start. I found that once the first flush of flowers were spent and even though I did deadhead the spent blooms, the second flush of flowers took a very long time coming. Because of this, I would recommend planting at least a group of three plants per container or hanging basket along with other chosen annuals or perennials. If the Nolana does become too leggy, simply cut it back by 1/3. Remember to fertilize every third watering for container or hanging baskets. If planting in the flowerbed as an edging/border plant, make sure to add organic matter prior to planting. Also, know that rabbit absolutely LOVE this annual.
