The Paper Daisy, an Austrailan annual that feels just like paper.

About The Paper Daisy
The Paper Daisy, an annual bedding plant that feels just like paper and is great for flowerbed designs or container gardening. The image above of the Outback is from my garden.
How To Grow The Paper Daisy
Almost every year I try and plant a few of these paper annuals. I enjoy the look and the blooms last an amazingly long time. Deadhead the flowers when they appear to be browning in color.
Originally from Australia, the Outback comes in a variety of colors, reds, pinks, whites. I chose the white to match up with my JP Connell Rose and my White Phlox 'David' planted nearby. The Paper Daisy makes an attractive border plant and works well within a rock garden design.
In the past I have also planted the pink color, but I must say that when the pink color fades, the flowers looks rather dull.
A great plus for this annual is that once established, it is drought tolerant. So if you are gone for parts of the summer, this is the annual plant for you.
Other great companion plants: The Ageratum as a striking contrast annual. Or the Angelonia.
